New places and new experiences

in response to The Daily Post - PATH
Consider the journey you’ve taken this year (or where you hope to go in 2017) and share a snapshot of this personal path, whether figurative or literal. A path ...can also be a glimpse into your interests and passions or personal and professional goals.

Vertical gardens

French botanist Patrick Blanc's vertical gardens at Sydney’s One Central Park

One Central Park’s two towers, house 35,000 plant vertical gardens. Central to the 1200sqm vertical garden design is Blanc’s insistence that plants do not need soil to grow provided they have something to attach themselves to. Light, carbon dioxide water and nutrients are mechanically dispersed to the plants and facilitate their growth and survival. This approach eliminates the need for soil, making it possible for plants to grow on buildings without compromising the structural integrity of the building.

Greeting the sun

in response to Paula's B&W Sunday - EXPRESSION
Today you are asked to post a photo of an expression. We can talk about human expressions (emotional), or behavioural expressions in animal (those can be hilarious), or any kind of expression that comes to your mind.

Knight in shiny armour or...

in response to Paula's Thursday's Special - TELL A STORY

a guy is poking a Mediterranean jelly (or fried egg jellyfish) with a snorkel tube, trying to push it away so that his wife can get into water and god forbid touches it

(in jelly's defence I have to say that  their sting has very little or no effect on humans)

Transmogrify

This week, your theme is TRANSMOGRIFY
(“to change in appearance or form, especially strangely or grotesquely; transform.”)
Transform. Morph. Change. Show us something already transformed, on the cusp of transformation, or that you wish you could transform.

It's all about nature

...which can include plants, fauna, animals found in nature, trees, rivers, lakes, mountains, weather, etc.  What I don’t want to see is man made structures or people.

October in the town

Cardinal is hosting The Changing Seasons for the second year
The idea is to capture all the changes of one location throughout the year: the seasons, the weather, different times of the day

This year we can choose (or combine) Version 1 or Version 2:
V1  Each month, post 5-20 photos in a gallery (only new shots)
V2 Each month, post one photo (recipe, painting, drawing, whatever) that represents your   interpretation of the month

I will be presenting downtown Brussels in B&W in V1

Think Pink

in response to Paula's Thursday's Special - PINK
October being the Breast Cancer Awareness Month had something to do with my choice of today’s photo challenge theme: THINK PINK. If you’d like to join me in this challenge, keep in mind that it does not need to be a pink ribbon, but any pink-coloured subject. Let’s make this a happy and bright post…
